Japan’s Growing Troubles
Last week we recorded another catastrophic day in world history. On March 11, 2011 Japan experienced a massive earthquake that would alter the lives of millions of Japanese. When everyone thought the worst was over, just three days later on March 14, Japan was practically wiped-out by a destructive Tsunami adding to the already increasing death toll. Now the Japanese are face even more challenges with its nuclear plants.
Clementi Parents wants Justice
Last year Tyler Clementi, an 18-year-old freshman at Rutgers University and promising musician took his own life after his roommate secretly filmed him while he was on a date in his dorm room with another male student. A year later Tyler’s parents want those responsible for their son’s suicide to face legal consequences for the part they played in influencing his decision to take his life.
U.S. Planes goes Down
Two American soldiers are back in U.S. hands after their planes experienced mechanical problems. Before the plane crashed they were able to eject and escape alive.
To Be or Not to Be
In early announcements this week AT&T has announced its plans to purchase T-mobile, an acquisition that will cost $39 Billion dollars in cash and stocks. The question on everyone’s mind is, “Will this merger of two of the country’s largest communications corporations be allowed?”
