Once I was sick and had to go to the emergency room. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and when I went to fill it the prescription was more than $100. I couldn't afford it so I had to continue to deal with the sickness and eventually had to return to the emergency room. When I was there I argued with the doctor who then gave me another prescription. When I went to get it filled it was only $33!
I was livid. The doctors know that there are generic versions available but most won't tell you for some reason.
